Full Support Bra
These are bra with some reinforcement at the lower part of the bra to maintain the shape of the bra. It can be used for small cup sizes and for large cup sizes too. However it is preferable for the latter because the reinforcement provides support for the breast and also helps the individual maintain a good posture. It is available in the padded and unpadded variety.
Mastectomy Bra
These are specialty bras for individuals who have lost a breast or both breasts to accidents or diseases. Mastectomy bras provide support and boost the confidence of women that have undergone mastectomy. The bras have pockets in them that can hold a breast prosthesis helping the individual maintain symmetry and balance.
Wonder Bra
These are very popular bras and are also know as wonder bras. They are padded bras that help lift and push the breast forward. There are many different types in the market today. There are wonder bras with extra padding and some that have silicone inserts. They all provide support in one form or the other and create a full cleavage.
Sports Bra
As the name suggests these are bras used during exercise such as running, playing basket ball or any sports where the breasts are bound to bounce up and down. The sport bra is also recommended for growing teenagers.
Nursing Bra
Nursing bras are excellent for the nursing mother. They provide quick and easy access for the nipple. It is advisable for an expectant woman to purchase nursing bras larger than her regular bra sizes as the breast do grow in size during pregnancy and also during nursing when engorged with milk. It would probably be preferable to buy a nursing bra made from cotton as this is breathable. Also a nursing mother should invest in nipple pads to absorb milk discharges and also prevent the nipple from getting sore.
